Dragonfly Discovery Robot
The Dragonfly Discovery Robot is an automated liquid handling system known for its precision and flexibility. We use it to automate key steps in the Olink® proteomics platform. Dragonfly is a multi-channel, non-contact, low-volume dispensing robot (from nanoliters to milliliters) that dispenses reagents (not samples) using positive displacement syringes. It ensures accurate and repeatable dispensing, regardless of the liquid’s viscosity.
Mosquito Liquid Handling Robot
The Mosquito® Liquid Handling Robot streamlines and automates key steps in the Olink® proteomics platform, dispensing nanoliter to microliter volumes, which is ideal for the small sample sizes used in Olink assays. It accurately dispenses samples and reagents into 96- or 384-well plates and precisely sets up PCR reactions.
QuantStudio 12K Flex, 7 Pro, and 5, Thermo Fisher
The QuantStudio 12K Flex, 7 Pro, and 5 are real-time PCR (qPCR) systems with multichannel read-out and multiplexing capabilities. The QuantStudio 12K Flex supports both 96-well and 384-well plates. At TATAA, we use two QuantStudio 7 Pro systems in conjunction with a plate distributor robot to optimize sample throughput.

The LightCycler 480 is a high-performance real-time PCR system designed for precise and high-throughput applications, supporting both 96- and 384-well plate formats. It features 5 fluorescent detection channels, enabling multiplex analysis.
CFX384, CFX Touch™, and CFX Opus 96, Bio-Rad
The CFX384 Touch™ and CFX Opus 96 are real-time PCR systems from Bio-Rad, offering 5-plex detection for up to five targets per reaction. The CFX Opus 96 supports 96-well plates, cloud connectivity, and fast performance, while the CFX384 is designed for high-throughput applications with 384-well plates. Both systems provide the ability to run gradient PCRs, streamlining assay development and optimization.
QIAcuity 4, Qiagen
The QIAcuity 4 is a high-performance digital PCR system with 5 fluorescent channels, enabling simultaneous analysis of up to 5 targets per reaction. Users can prepare, load, and queue up to 4 nanoplates at a time, each containing up to 96 wells, allowing for high sample throughput. A single sample is partitioned into thousands of individual reaction chambers. After PCR amplification, the system counts the positive and negative partitions, providing precise quantification of target nucleic acids using Poisson statistics.

Stilla Naica™ dPCR System
The Stilla Naica™ System is a digital PCR platform that utilizes Crystal Digital PCR™ technology for highly accurate and precise nucleic acid quantification, offering 3-color detection capabilities. The system partitions samples into thousands of individual droplet crystals, each functioning as its own reaction compartment, before amplifying nucleic acid molecules. It supports a wide range of genetic tests and molecular biology assays, including liquid biopsy tests for cancer diagnostics and viral load quantification.
Bio-Rad QX200 Droplet Digital PCR System
“The Bio-Rad QX200 Droplet Digital PCR System is a high-performance digital PCR platform that pioneered the dPCR field. It features two fluorescent channels, allowing for the simultaneous analysis of up to two targets per reaction. Samples are partitioned into approximately 20,000 nanoliter-sized droplets via emulsification. After PCR amplification, the system reads each droplet to determine the fraction of positive reactions for each channel, enabling applications such as absolute quantification, rare mutation detection, and linkage analysis.
NovaSeq 6000, Illumina
The NovaSeq 6000 is a high-throughput next-generation sequencing (NGS) platform for rapid, large-scale genomic analysis. Its scalable output and flexible run configurations support a range of applications, including whole genome sequencing (WGS), exome sequencing, and transcriptomics. Capable of generating up to 6 terabases per run, the system is ideal for projects that require deep sequencing coverage.
MiSeq, Illumina
The MiSeq is a compact next-generation sequencing (NGS) platform from Illumina, designed for smaller-scale sequencing projects with quick turnaround times. It supports various applications, including targeted gene sequencing, 16S rRNA, amplicon, and small genome sequencing.

The iSeq is Illumina’s most compact next-generation sequencing (NGS) platform, designed for low-throughput sequencing projects that require fast results. It utilizes sequencing by synthesis (SBS) technology to ensure high accuracy, even for smaller applications such as targeted gene and amplicon sequencing. Additionally, it serves as a useful tool for quality checking library pool balance prior to deep sequencing.
