Affinity-based proteomics
Analyzing plasma or serum for protein biomarkers provides critical insights into disease mechanisms, supports the development of targeted therapies, and allows for the evaluation of therapeutic responses, including target engagement, off-target effects, and immune responses.
Olink® and Illumina® Protein Prep Solution
Push the limits of plasma proteomics
Plasma and serum require complex depletion procedures for mass spectrometry to analyze proteins present at levels below the abundant albumin. Affinity-based proteomics, using antibodies or DNA aptamers to detect proteins, provides a powerful tool to explore a broader concentration range, process hundreds of samples simultaneously, and increase exploratory depth. As an early access partner with Illumina, we are one of the few centers offering both the Olink platform and the Illumina Protein Prep (IPP) Solution, enabling cross-validation studies and providing even broader protein coverage.

Olink® Proximity Extension Assays
We are a certified Olink® service provider, offering Olink’s technology, which uses pairs of antibodies labeled with oligonucleotide barcodes to ensure high specificity in protein detection. Depending on the panel, the readout is performed using either qPCR or NGS. These panels cover a wide range of major pathways, conditions, and discovery areas, analyzing over 5,400 proteins in just microliters of serum or plasma.

Illumina® Protein Prep (IPP) Solution
Illumina is a leader in the next-generation sequencing market for diverse DNA and RNA applications. Combining NGS technology with SOMAmer® DNA aptamers, which bind with high affinity to specific proteins, the new Illumina Protein Prep solution provides an automated workflow on a modified Tecan robot. This new solution enables the quantification of 6,000 unique human protein targets per sample on the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 instrument.
