High-throughput proteomics

As a designated Olink service provider, we excel in quantifying proteins to provide an in-depth biological understanding of disease and drug response.

Olink technology is based on Proximity Extension Assay (PEA). PEA enables high-throughput, multiplex immunoassays of proteins using minimal volumes of serum, plasma, or almost any other type of biological sample.

Each antibody pair in the assay is tagged with unique DNA reporter sequences. After an antibody pair binds to a protein, the reporter DNA sequences are amplified by real-time PCR, generating quantitative data of the proteins detected simultaneously.

The explorative Olink panels measure the concentration of thousands of human plasma proteins using small samples, covering all major biological and disease-relevant pathways.

With Olink® Explore 3072, you can access the entire Olink protein library of approximately 3,000 protein assays for exploratory proteomics and multiomics studies. You can choose one or several of the eight Explore 384-plex panels covering inflammation, oncology, neurologic, and cardiometabolic pathways for more focused projects, comprising the Explore 3072 library.

The Olink Target 96 panels specialize in key disease areas and essential biological processes to accelerate targeted protein biomarker research. Olink provides the following panels: Target 48 Cytokine, Target 96 Cardiovascular, Target 96 Immuno-Oncology, Target 96 Neurology, and Target 96 Oncology.

Olink also provides custom panels with custom targets or flex panels, enabling the selection and combination of custom panels with already thoroughly prevalidated protein biomarkers.

TATAA Biocenter is accredited by the Swedish Board of Accreditation and Conformity Assessment (SWEDAC) for complying with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. We also adhere to Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) guidelines, which are international quality standards governing the analysis of samples from clinical trials using GLP.

GLP and GCLP validation is mandatory in preclinical and clinical assays to demonstrate accuracy, reliability, and consistency. These standards cover every aspect of study planning, execution, monitoring, documentation, archiving, and reporting. This rigorous process assures both the sponsors, when submitting data for new drug approvals, and the regulatory authorities, when reviewing the data, that it is generated in a regulated manner.
