TATAA Biocenter Joins Single Cell Discoveries
Single Cell Discoveries (SCD) has acquired TATAA Biocenter, bringing together two complementary scientific organizations to give customers a more connected path from biological discovery through validation and clinical development.
For more than 20 years, TATAA Biocenter has specialized in high-precision molecular analysis, including qPCR, dPCR, NGS, proteomics, molecular assay development, and regulated bioanalysis.
Joining Single Cell Discoveries significantly expands the scientific capabilities available to TATAA customers.
Single Cell Discoveries brings deep expertise in single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, high-throughput RNA sequencing, multi-omics, and data science.
Together, the organizations can support a molecular target across multiple stages of its development, from its initial identification and characterization to biomarker and assay development and GLP/GCLP-compliant validation.

For our existing customers, continuity remains a priority.
Our Gothenburg site continues to operate with the same scientific and customer-facing teams. Existing projects, workflows and quality systems continue unchanged, and current contacts remain your point of entry.
What changes is the breadth of expertise we can offer.
Customers can now extend projects into SCD’s single-cell, spatial transcriptomics, high-throughput RNA sequencing, multi-omics and bioinformatics capabilities while remaining within the same organization.
We now comprise approximately 50 scientists across Gothenburg and Utrecht, combining research-grade innovation with validated workflows suitable for preclinical and clinical applications.
This is an exciting new chapter for TATAA, expanding what we can offer while retaining the scientific expertise, quality, and relationships our customers know.
TATAA Biocenter is now part of Single Cell Discoveries, with combined services available from 14 September 2026.
